Management Solutions Consulting, Inc. has been providing fair market valuation services as well as business consulting to healthcare organizations since 1999.  Our clients include hospitals, medical centers, and clinics in 29 states. 

Our valuations include physician/hospital professional services agreements (PSA's), equipment lease agreements, shared space arrangements, time-share agreements, shared services arrangements, and hospital and/or physician program valuations. 

Our consulting services range from productivity issues, cost reduction, quality improvement, human resources, hospital/physician arrangements and strategic planning.

There are numerous healthcare systems and providers that have Corporate Integrity Agreements ("CIA") with the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services.  To comply with the terms of these agreements which typically include a section on "Physician relationships", the healthcare organizations request a third party review of their physician agreements. The CIA directs such relationships to be reviewed by independent sources to assure compliance with the agreement as it relates to fair market value and the compensation of fees exchanged between physicians/physician groups and the healthcare organization. 

It is important to note that fair market valuations have also been requested by healthcare organizations who wished to voluntarily demonstrate due diligence in their physician compensation arrangements and insure that the agreement was in the economic best interest of the organization as well.  Frequently the cover sheet on such agreements includes a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer that attests that the terms of compensation are at fair market value.  CEO’s sign this statement with confidence if they have completed a third party fair market valuation.
